In this paper we propose, design and simulate the novel structure of to Chaotic On-Off Keying (COOK) modulator and demodulator applicable to Ultra-Wide band (UWB) wireless communications. In the modulation scheme, we use a Quadrature Hybrid Matched Attenuator which consists of a three-section Branch-line Coupler and PIN diodes. In the demodulation scheme, we use an improved amplitude envelope detector which has the broadband impedance match. All circuits in this system are designed and simulated in the frequency range from 3.1 to 5.5 GHz with practical electronic devices and micro-strip substrate using the Advanced Design System (ADS) platform. The simulation results of proposed schemes demonstrate the potential use of such modulator for chaotic UWB wireless communication applications.
